Gretchen

Gretchen began her career with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Care completing it with First Class Honours. She takes great pride in her career and received two awards during her Degree, President’s Prize for Academic Excellence and Social Care Ireland- Irish Association of Social Care Educators Award for Academic Achievement in Social Care. She has been working with children, adolescents and families since 2017. She started her career in a residential home for children and adolescents and then moved on to work as a Project Worker in School Completion Programme, working with young people in both primary and secondary schools.

She completed Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills and Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy, which is accredited by University of Galway in partnership with the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy. She maintains her professional membership with Play Therapy Ireland. She has completed numerous courses in further professional development and will continue to do so throughout her career. She is a firm believer in enhancing her skills and expanding her knowledge in specialist areas.

Gretchen enjoys walks in nature and loves the challenge of a hike. She loves to travel to explore the world and to embrace the adventure.
